1. Hotel conference venue:

2. Airports:
1. Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW) on the Asian side, 46K from the conference hotel.
2. Istanbul Airport (IST) on the European side, 37K from the conference hotel.
3. From the airport to the hotel: The Marmara Pera is in Beyoğlu (about 37 km from Istanbul Airport / IST, and 46 km from Sabiha Gökçen / SAW). Options are the official airport taxi rank, the HAVAIST / HAVABÜS shuttle to Taksim–Beyoğlu, or a pre-booked transfer. Allow roughly 45–90 minutes depending on the airport and traffic.

2. The conference will be held in AB3 – Law Faculty which is opposite to the Faculty of Business.
5. Transportation options on the conference day:
1. University Bus: A bus will transport all participants from the conference hotel to the university on the conference days (time to be confirmed) and back to the conference hotel.
2. Taxi: Uber (Uber in Turkey is same as yellow taxi) – Use this address: Ozyegin University Engineering faculty and follow signs to AB2 entrance.
1. For Uber you may use Cash, or linked card to your App.
2. For any taxi, mostly Cash, but some taxis may have a card machine.
3. Cost from the conference hotel: around 3000TL to 3600TL (depends on the time of the day, and if the taxi uses paid toll roads (this is paid by the passenger)).
4. Estimated time: 40 to 50 mins from the conference hotel (depends on the traffic, and the road taken).
6. Arriving on campus: The Çekmeköy campus is large, with several security-controlled entrances, so please allow a little extra time.

1. By taxi or Uber (AB2 gate): It is highly recommended that you use this address Ozyegin University, Çekmeköy Campus Faculty of Business/ Engineering faculty, AB2 Entrance.
1. Enter through the AB2 security gate and climb the stairs.
2. At the top you will see Caffè Nero ahead of you in the distance, with AB2 on your left.
3. Go into AB2 and walk through to the exit door at the far end.
4. Continue straight towards AB3, which is on your right; the entrance is just past the coffee truck on your left.
5. Take the stairs down infront of the lift, then the AB3 150 auditorium is on your left.
2. By public Bus (dormitory drop-off):
1. The bus drops you at the dormitory drop-off area at the north end of campus. Pass the security checkpoint and follow the main path south, keeping the football pitch on your left.
2. You will reach a flight of stairs, climb all the way to the top. There you arrive in front of a pizza place, with ScOLa on your right and AB2 (Faculty of Business) on your left.
3. Walk towards the Business Faculty and the Kahve Dünyası coffee shop, then take the right-hand path.
4. Continue to the entrance of the Law Faculty (AB3), Take the stairs down infront of the lift, then the AB3 150 auditorium is on your left.
3. If you have any difficulty at an entrance: tell security you are attending the IEF conference (your name will be on their list) and ask them to call a local who will come and assist you

Practical Information

1. Time Zone: GMT+3 (no daylight saving).
2. Weather (Mid-September): Usually warm and mostly dry, with daytime temperatures around 26–28°C and evening temperatures around 17–19°C. Bring a light layer for the evenings.
3. Electricity: 230V, European two-pin plugs (Type C/F). Bring a travel adapter if needed.
4. Money: The currency is the Turkish Lira (TRY). Credit/debit cards and contactless payments are widely accepted, and ATMs are readily available. Some taxis may accept cash only.

5. Connectivity: Wi-Fi is available at the hotel and on campus. On campus, you may use your EDU login. If you do not have an EDU login, you can register as a guest; however, this requires a Turkish phone number. Please ask one of the local organisers, who will be happy to assist you.
