Dr Lose serves as the Director and Senior Researcher at the Mandela University Africa HUB, based at Nelson Mandela University (NMU), and holds an Honorary Fellowship with the Centre for Business & Economic Research (CBER) at Oxford University in the United Kingdom.
He was awarded the Hult Prize South Africa 2024/25 for University Entrepreneurship Coordinators and is the founder and chairperson of the board for several organizations, including the Business Incubation Web Association (BIWA) and the Township Cannabis Incubator (TCI). In addition, he sits on the boards of multiple business incubators throughout South Africa.
Dr Lose is also actively involved in academia and governance, serving as an executive member of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) Convocation, an advisory board member for CPUT’s entrepreneurship department, and a member of the Student Entrepreneurship & Youth Employability Working Group at NMU.
