    Zoltan Acs is the Director and Founder of the Vienna Institute for Global Studies (VIGS) and Professor Emeritus (active) at George Mason University - Schar School of Policy and Government. He is also a visiting professor at Imperial College London. A globally recognised voice in entrepreneurship research and policy, his work has shaped thinking on innovation, urban development, and small business ecosystems. He is the author of 𝑻𝒉𝒆 π‘«π’Šπ’ˆπ’Šπ’•π’‚π’ π‘¬π’π’•π’“π’†π’‘π’“π’†π’π’†π’–π’“π’Šπ’‚π’ π‘¬π’„π’π’”π’šπ’”π’•π’†π’Ž 2025 and recently published his memoir, 𝑢𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑹𝒐𝒂𝒅 𝑳𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒅.

    He is also the founding co-editor of Small Business Economics, and has held key research and advisory positions across organisations including the U.S. Bureau of the Census, University of Maryland, The Kauffman Foundation, Columbia University, Swedish National Board for Technical Development, and more.

    His keynote at the conference will focus on Ecosystems of Learning and the Urban Dividend. This session will be especially valuable to:
