Professor of Economics at the University of Namur and the Université catholique de Louvain
Marcus Dejardin is Professor of Economics at the University of Namur and the Université catholique de Louvain. He has developed expertise in entrepreneurship, innovation, regional economics, and public policy analysis. Marcus is Director of the Chair of Excellence for Research and Expertise in Entrepreneurship (CHEREE) and of the Centre for Research in Regional Economics and Economic Policy (CERPE). He is the Founding Editor of the New Economics Papers – Entrepreneurship Newsletter. He serves as an Editor of Small Business Economics: An Entrepreneurship Journal; an Associate Editor of The Annals of Regional Science and of Revue d’Economie Régionale et Urbaine - Journal of Regional and Urban Economics.
Marcus is a former Ameritech visiting scholar at the Institute for Development Strategies, SPEA, Indiana University Bloomington, and visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute of Economics, Jena. Before joining the University of Namur and the Université catholique de Louvain, he was Assistant Professor at the Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam.
